Composite Pressure Vessels

Hi all,
I am trying to design a pressure vessel (max diameter 18inches, length approx 30 inches) to be submerged upto a depth of 500 m or so, what would be the best materials (not to be metallic or at least not completely), and for composite materials how do I go about determining the relevant wall thickness etc.
All help would be appreciated.

I know that a spiral wound vessel would be very effective so I searched the web on this bases and found the above sites.
