Hi!
We had a compressor with inlet pressure 14 barg to outlet one 45 barg(design) for feeding gas with(3.0 MM Sm3/d) to LPG plant. we were controlling the pressure in the unit by turboexpander control valve (Completly different from conventional pressure control valve). Now,we're planning to convert the function of this booster from feeding LPG plant to discharge to another unit where the pressure is about 32barg.
I am given to do calculations on this new situation. What would be the steps to do in order to perform a good calculations?
See attached caracteristic curve of this compressor

What are you trying to answer? Is the question "will this compressor work in this new service?"

From your curve, it looks like you are proposing to run the compressor at about 85% of design speed and pretty far out on its curve. I think I would be sending some data to the compressor vendor asking for their input or what modifications to the compressor they might recommend.

Where is the operating band for this compressor? What changes in suction flow do you have to meet and what changes in discharge pressure (and thus head) would this compressor see as part of usual operation.

I'd look at lowering the inlet pressure to meet your needs if you do not want the re-wheel the compressor.

Convert your graph to head v ACFM and look at say a 10 barg inlet
