Hi everyone,

I am using the COMSOL Multiphysics Heat transfer module to study the friction stir welding (FSW) process. The FSW model is provided by COMSOL in their libraries and I am trying to introduce Johnson-Cook (JC) material model in it. I added the required 5 Johnson cook parameters. However, the results somehow seem independent of these variables. I am trying to visualize the temperature distribution using isothermal contours (pre-built) and 3D cut point analysis post friction stir welding. The temperature does not change when any or all of the JC variables are changed, even at times changed drastically.
Please guide me if JC model implementation requires any further steps, apart from introducing it in the material properties and assigning values to them.

Thanks
