Concealed space sprinklers

NFPA 25 - 2020 says that concealed sprinklers above a suspended ceiling need not be inspected. What about sprinklers for the attic with wood trusses? If not inspected, how do you know they are really in place? What if the ceiling is gyp. board?
Anyone run into this?

Have to love 25. It assumes the system was installed per the standard.

It states visible from the floor.

So technically no.

But if you look at the laundry list of inspections, over the years in 25,,, seems like at some point someone has to go into the attic???

Most true attics are required to have attic access.

Than there is company policy.

And liability, in my opinion, if you put your companies name on the system,,, more than likely if something goes wrong, you will be in court.

I don't deal w/ NFPA 25, being a designer, but is there a distinction being made here between sprinklers that are concealed between, say, a dropped gyp. bd. ceiling with no access, and the sprinklers in the attic which are accessible? Or is the intent just to observe from the viewpoint as a pedestrian on the ground floor w/o breaking out a ladder or entering an attic space, even though accessible?
