I'm looking for a one or two part polyurethane coating for concrete to facilitate cleaning. Exposure is to printing inks (nothing corrosive).

Any suggestions about products and/or preparation?

I am not familiar with the new "anti-graffiti" or "easy clean" paints but that's where I would start my search.
i haven't ween a polyurethane system but one my be out there. I seen fluorinated, silicone, acrylic with combinations thereof.

I've used Wearlon Coatings and they preformed as advertised or better.

Thanks, Unk...

I've specified a two part polyurethane coating from Euclid Chemicals in past... with good results, and I had a query from a contractor about specifying a second product and was wondering if anyone else had a good product they had used. It's for a concrete slab and my experience is that polyurethanes hold up much better than acryllic coatings...

Your statement maybe partially true but I've seen these anti-graffiti coatings on a lot concrete from CMUs to red brick.
If I wanted something to cover concrete I would start with an epoxy, but bu Wearlons little illustration shows everything sticks to epoxy or epoxy sticks to everything. Acrylics are modified for covering concrete and do a good job in coverage. I've never applied one as an easy clean surface.
Some of the old chlorinated rubber paints were easy to clean after a couple of weeks curing. They are not around anymore. All of the chlorinated rubber self cleaning type paint has been upstaged by the fluorinated variety. I haven't used them but they look good on paper with one over bearing problem, the cost.

One of them brain thingys. You might want to checkout a whiteboard or dry erase type paint. They are somewhat expensive but seem to have a good guarantee and they work. In relation to the MSRP most can be found at deep discounts on the web.

Footnote:
A newspaper quite printing locally and left a rather large quantity of inks in temporary storage shed and the taggers got to it. I under stand they were selling it on the web as well as marking up every thing around here.

Thanks... I will check those out...
