Concrete Failure

I'm using the concrete damage plasticity model and when my beam should begin cracking (stress equals modulus of rupture) then the model stops running. Any clues on how to get it to keep running through that point, I added rebar and it as the same problem.

as I understand ABAQUS not doing well on concrete, due to the 'softening' material properties. i am having same problem as well, i am modelling composite beam with concrete slab on top. i need advice also.
