A residental building (masonry with RC slabs/beams and timber roof) with huge openings in the ground floor - because of this I have large forces acting on the edges of the foundation slab (0,30 m thick).
I was thinking about edge beams but not around the entire perimeter of the slab.

Thoughts?

I would continue the edge grade beam, or turndown, to support/spread the load, and prevent soil movement at the edges.

This is from decades back but was the first I could find...

You need stiffeners all around and you have to address the re-entrant entrance. You need to seek professional help. It works with or without a basement/crawlspace.

I've never seen a residential slab on grade that didn't have an edge beam around the full perimeter. Usually your finished floor level needs to be some distance above the surrounding ground and it's hard to see how you'd achieve this with no beam at all.
