In looking at the dimensions of a concrete paver, for a 12 foot lane of pavement, a footprint of about 18 feet is required for the paver. If I have a big difference between my proposed profile I need to allow room for the paver to travel because the paver cannot adjust enough for the difference in grade.

The tracks of the paver can rise and lower a small amount to allow for the paver track to ride on an adjacent pavement. Can the profile of the new pavement be set independent of the track riding on an adjacent existing pavement. I am looking to set an edge of new pavement right next to an existing road so that I can maintain a lane for homeowner access along the project, a minimal amount of traffic. I would have a little over 16 feet of existing pavement to maintain that lane.

Length of pavement is about 2800 feet

How long of a pavement section are you doing? It might be easier just to form and place the concrete conventionally.
