The design involves a concrete screen wall with a cross section that resembles an "L" (a cantilever retaining wall without the lateral earth pressure). My thought is, the footing (or heel) will be poured first and the contractor will place the construction joints based on his pouring rate. The problem with this is that these joints may not coincide with the location of the walls expansion joints. The wall seems to require a different pouring schedule because of how the form liners are going to be set up.
My question is, what are the consequences of having the footing construction joints not aligned with the wall expansion joints? This may develop some unwanted cracking. Should I set the joints on the footing to match where the joints of the wall are going to be? Should I have the wall isolation joints run through the footing? Thanks.

I think you are overthinking it. You have continuous rebar in your footing so it doesn't matter where the construction joints in the footing are, if there are any. Design the wall joints and be done with it.
