This is a section showing support of a roof to a pavilion, on instinct I told the client we should go with steel. He wants to use concrete so I have to check both options then we compare costs.
My first reaction was to shut this line of inquiry and insist on steel, but then I thought I could learn something if I try.
How would the reinforcement detail at that "X" point be detailed and implemented, and how do you anchor such slanted columns on foundations. And can the top chord be done in concrete to carry a light weight steel lattice purlin spanning 8m between these supports.

This is just me spit-balling some ideas. Don't dream of taking it as final/complete detailing.

What do you use for those markups Kootk? Very nifty!!

I’d say you’d do a nice timber/glulam option for that. Could have some cool steel pin connections at the joints.

Bluebeam. It's the best innovation in structural innovation since the personal computer in my opinion.
