Cone to cone junction rings when you have a cone shell with different thicknesses at External Pressu

Dear all,

I would like to know if anybody knows a method to calculate the junction ring (stiffening ring)for a cone to cone junction. This case is useful when you have a very large diameter cone, and you want to use different thicknesses along the cone, collocating stiffening rings for external pressure.

I know that the standard methods are for calculating Large and Small Ends stiffening rings. I want to know if I can use the same method for intermediate stiffening rings and consirer them as lines of supports.

Inki, it appears to me that intermediate stiffening rings only need be designed per UG-29.
