I have a situation where there is a an assembly that we have been working with.It has mulitiple configs. The problem is now there are two files and it takes both to show all the configurations. For Example if the two newest configs are config x and config y. Configuration x is on the file set that is on one machine while my version has Configuration Y on it. The issues is this: is there a way to bring both Config X and Y onto the same file. Is it possible to take and add a configuration into a assembly that does not have that config on it? Any help on this would be great.

If you have created the configs with a DT, you should be able to simply Cut & Paste the config info from one DT to the other. The Proviso being that the properties used to control assy #1 are the same as in assy #2.

If you did not use a DT, then I suggest you create one in each assy, & then Cut & Paste the different config info.

You could make a design table in each file, then copy the DT info from one file to the next in Excel.

Yes, as Tick said you can create design tables in both and then copy one from the other. But as Core said you have to make sure they have the same properties. Your columns must macth name for name or else you will have problems. I suggest creating a design table in the assy you want (say config X) to keep. Then in the design table copy the Row of Config X the next row down and rename it Config Y. Then go through it and make the changes as needed in the second row of the design table, adding columns if needed to show or add more data depending on the how the configs differ.
