Connect C.G. to tube

Hello,

I am trying to model one horizontal tube connected to a center of gravity positioned at a distance from the tube in Abaqus 6.11. I used two beams as connectors between one reference point that represents the C.G. and two reference points at different locations on the tube. Is this procedure correct. I need your comments as experts on this modelling.
