Hello All!
I'm working on a wall replacement (someone drove into the side of a building and the wall needs to be replaced). The existing roof is hollow core plank and I need to determine the roof to wall connection. Is it possible to dowel into the existing hollow core? Does anyone have another idea for this connection or a standard detail they can provide for this?
Also, I found that the existing wall does not have vertical bars so I need to add some. Would this require calcs? It seems that providing rebar where there was none wouldn't require lateral analysis, but I'm not sure.
I'm a new engineer so any help is appreciated!
