I have a model with a dozen or so connections in it some with regions that have branches, but not all of them. One of the connection pairs in this model come from the same surface model as a previous model that had a successful connection.
I read an answer to a post in a different forum that Blas Molero replied to and followed his advice regarding the edge to surface connection. That resolved my two edge to surface connections, they no longer get an error. The rest are surface to surface connections.
I set up two regions that did not have any branches and picked the elements, not the surfaces, ensuring that the faces of the two regions faced each other. These two regions still give the error "Error Writing Connection Region 250. Nodes defined out of topological order or branching." The errors seem to be fatal. The elements were picked all at once with the polygon pick. All the faces in the region were the same face number.
If I have one bad branching pair of regions, will that effect other regions? I have tried turning off the offending regions and connections and still get the topological error for those regions.
I am using Femap 11.3
Any other thoughts?
