Hi.

This is likely a simple question although as this software is still relitavely new to me it is one I require assistance with.

I have a component I need to constrain. It is bolted to a testing apparatus on both ends. Ideally this apparatus would be fixed however in the real world there is obviously some displacement within the fixed object.

I have measured the stiffness in all six DOFs of the testing apparatus and wish to constrain my NX component with this data.

Basically. Instead of a purely fixed or purely free constraint can I apply a contraint in which the component is allowed to displace into a given stiffness?

Thanks in advance.

Are we talking about a behavior which would be seen in the context of an Assembly model or when creating and analyzing a Finite Element model?

Creating and analyzing a finite element model sorry.

I figured that would be the case, which means that I'll have to let someone else take a shot at this one. Sorry.
