Hi all,
Apologies in advance if I am asking a repeated and past question.
1) I am attempting to constrain a sketch which I have imported from AutoCAD by importing to Catia Drawing then copy and paste on to Catia Part model - complete.
2) The sketch itself is made up of thousands of individual lines which, when selected and moved in Catia, disrupts the sketch - Ctrl + Z to undo - sketch reset - complete.
3) In an attempt to select all the lines, I successfully manage to move the complex sketch and roughly position the sketch on to the 'plane' of the 3D part I am attempting to locate on to - complete.
4) I now attempt to constrain the selected (highlighted) complex sketch by selecting one of its vertices to mate with the 3D Part vertex.
5) Said sketch vertex separates from complex sketch and mates with part vertex.
6) I want the whole sketch to move in unison as I specify the constraint between sketch vertex and say, the corner edge of part without breaking the sketch.
Could someone please offer assistance?
Regards,
David.
