Situation:
I'm creating a chassis. Many parts are repeditive, so I'm making a catalog. With how I've always developed parts, I thought it would be better when creating a part to usually reference the origional x y z planes.
Problem is, when any part, built from multiple planes, (i.e. more than one input is required when inserting the part from the catalog), is inserted with a certain orientation on a plane other than the one it was built on, the parts of the inserted part that were built on different planes (xy yz etc... ) are all out of wack. I hope this was clear.
So my question is.... Can you somehow constrain all of the sections of a part in 3D so that it would have issues when being inserted at different orientations, or is there something else i should be doing? I'd rather not remodel all of my parts off of the same plane, because that would not only be harder, but much more time consuming.
