Hello,

I am trying to crash two simple surface to wall and these two flat surface are coupled to a reference point which is in the middle of these two surface where there is a gap and when I apply translation to reference point, it is not moving or moving very small like 0.00001 metres.

Also I tried tie constraint where applying loads to reference point doesnt work so I applied translation on surfaces but when it hit the wall instead of crashing it starts bouncing back which is due to tie nodes. I have plastic data in material definition and VUMAT in output request also.

I tried rigid body constraint and using tie option i did the same and it works perfect if I apply translation to reference point but it bounces back in the sense when it hit it goes back instead of crashing.

So please tell me how to solve this with these constraints.
