Good evening,

I had previously posted a sheet that had a trig function on it that returned a negative value. My question is as follows:

Basic problem: atan() returns a negative value while i require that the answer be between 0 and 180. Can someone tell me how to provide constraints onto the atan() function

Thanks..

It ate the space, but the general principal is to make a piece-wise function using programming statements that cannot be less than 0.

Have you tried atan2? It can still go negative, but it maintains the quadrant information so you can obtain values between 90 and 180. You need two inputs rather than one. See the help file under atan2.
