Fire triggers Hudson Yards crane collapse onto rush hour NYC street, injuring four after construction equipment struck skyscraper and sprayed debris onto victims
An excerpt from the above item:
A construction crane caught fire, collapsed, and struck the side of another skyscraper before falling onto a rush-hour Manhattan street as terrified commuters ran for their lives.
Five people who were on the street, including a firefighter, were injured after the building equipment suffered dramatic failure on 41st Street and 10th Avenue in Hudson Yards.
The blazing crane was attached to a luxury apartment building under construction - and a concrete pump it was connected to also smashed on to the street below.
