Hi guys

I am having a problem on creating contact for deformable bodies.

As you can see in the attachment "problem.png", i am trying to model the contact between a square shaft and a hollow cylinder. Parameters are given in the problem.png and all of the details described are modeled (at least to me).

I have created 2 sets of contacts.

1) hollow cylinder: where i selected all of the CQUAD (2D) elements and input to the "select application region" in patran
2) square shaft: where i selected all of the HEX (3D) elements and input to the "select application region" in patran

Now when i run SOL101 (see "deformation.png plot to true scale", the square shaft just passes through the hollow cylinder and there is no contact!? Can someone assist me where i might have gone wrong? I have also attached my bdf.

Thanks you and have a nice day =)
