Hello to everybody,
I am new with Abaqus, i am making a static analysis on a cylindrical fuselage of a rocket with a cover. The rocket is attached to a subwing pylon that transmits an important load to the cover (by the rocket release mechanism)at the launch (that's an UAV launched by catapult). Well, i made the analysis, no error. Sounds fine, but i have just a doubt about contact modellization. Contact between cover internal surface and the edge of the cavity under the cover.
Cover is fastened to the fuselage in four points.
I used:
10 nodes tet elements
slaves surfaces with a finer mesh than master region
tg behavior: frictionless
normal behavior: hard
and: allow separation after contact - yes
Any suggestion from your experience about this? I'm reading the manual, it explains such things, but i am not really sure of what is better.
Than You
Marco
