Hi everyone,

I have an imported mesh and i need to solve a contact problem automatically using batch mode, the problem is closing a relative big penetration or gap automatically increases the calculation time dramatically (2 o 3 times more than close them manually).

for example when i check a contact i could obtain a message like that:

Max. Initial penetration 8.008601484E-02 was detected between contact element 199547 and target element 90721.
You may move entire target surface by : x= 0, y= -3.32216047E-03, z= -8.001707957E-02,to reduce initial penetration.

Anyone know how to get these values of X,Y,Z to move the target surface automatically in batch mode!!!

best regards

I do exclude the gap in the contact element keyoptions, but this automatic exclude is not as good as closed manually.

with Automatic exclude, it needs more iteration to solve the same problem.
