Continuous Solenoid Control Valves?

Hi, I'm looking for some solenoid valves for controlling fluid flow, and can't seem to find them anywhere. My application requires them to be relatively small, and the flow to be continuously variable rather than a simple on/off valve.

The valves are known as "Continuous Solenoid Control Valves" (CSCV), and can apperently be controlled by PWM.

I can't find a manufacturer of them anywhere, and in fact I'm having trouble finding any decent information about them too.

Can anyone provide me with a manufacturer of such valves? I'm in the UK, and would prefer that the manufacturer be based here, but thats not a major issue.

I've used Burkert 6223 valves with their 8605 valve controller for this sort of thing a couple of times. Take a look and see what you think.

For proportional solenoid valves (whose solenoid 'floats' due to PWM pulses to the coil), see ASCO's 8202/8203 series:

You might want to search for electrically modulated control valve too. They're common in the hydraulics industry, but obviously they're built for high pressure fluids. You haven't said what you're controlling, or what flow rates you're considering, or what the fluid is so it's difficult to be specific without some sort of spec to work against.

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking for a much smaller valve actually, and came across this page of miniature valves in the UK, which seems pretty good:

I'm thinking about that one, but I'm not entirely sure.

It says it is a "proportional solenoid valve", and from what I've read, these are continuously variable, but then what is the difference between these and CSCV's? It looks like this valve is controlled by a stabilised current control circuit.

It also says it is suitable for gasses, but doesn't mention liquids. My application needs it for liquids through thin pipes of about 3-5mm inside diameter. I'm not sure of the pressures yet, but just need some direction really.
