Does anybody has technical concerns running control and LV cables (208/120) in a open ladder cable tray thought a battery room?

This is a dedicated room for the DC system in utility substation application.

Thanks in advance for the advise

I don’t know if there is a standard forbidding presence of power low voltage a.c. cables in a battery room. The cable tray has to be high enough located as per- for instance- ANSI/IEEE 484 “Recommended Practice for Installation Design and Installation of Large Lead Storage Batteries for Generating Stations and Substations”. Since the battery room is well ventilated and the ventilation fail will be warned there is tendency to consider this room unclassified.
However the cable tray and the cables shall be corrosion resistant[ponder]. See –for instance –NFPA 850 ch. 7.8. Our practice it is to avoid presence of such cables in battery room anyway.
If the Battery Room could be considered Class I Division 2 the wiring has to be as per NEC Art.501.(B).[ponder]
