Hi,

I need help please. I am trying to analyze simply supported reinforced concrete beam using ANSYS APDL 14.5 I am using solid65 for the model and reinforcing the beam using solid65 with smeared rebars for both shear and moment. The load is uniformly distributed force on all nodes. I entered the material models for both steel and concrete as recomended by other works. The problem is that the solution losts convergence at the first moment that concrete reaches its tensile crack stress (Uniaxial Cracking Stress). I tried to change the Open Shear Transfer Coe. and the Uniaxial Cracking Stress but what I get every time is that solution losts convergence when concrete stress reches its Uniaxial Cracking Stress of the material model. Any sugesstion please.
