Hi,
I have a simple question. I have a 220V 3450 rpm(2 pole) induction motor that is ONLY wired for 220v. What I would like to do is run the motor on 110v. I have a reason for this which I really would not like to get into. Both poles are currently wired in series. If I opened up the motor and soldered a tap between the 2 poles and then joined together the other 2 remaining leads from each pole and ran the poles in parallel, That would allow me to operate the motor at 110v? Is that correct? Of course I would be using double the current from 220v operation. Thanks, Doug
