Convert IVEX .BRD File to more useful format

Is there some way to convert the file to ORCAD, or something else more common?

I contracted the CB design on a new product by a EE (I'm an ME). The EE used IVEX. So now I have a .BRD file generated in an IVEX program. I'm having the board assembled by a 3rd party, and I want them to be able to tweak the layout. However they cannot read the IVEX file. My contract with the EE has expired, and I'd rather not have to pay him to start over in another program.

Thanks.

Have you asked the original designer if he'd be willing to give it to you in another format? If the design is small, you could buy the package yourself... the 200-pin version is a mere $40.

Not much help I can offer, other than to say you should have all boards designed by an EE who uses proper software packages and can output in an industry-standard format. Some PCB manufacturers (such as PCBExpress) accept that format, and maybe they can send you something back in a more tunable format.

Should only take him a minute or two to output gerber files from that package..
