Convert part file units of files within teamcenter

I know this has been brought up before (

But now we are a few versions later since this last thread was made.

I was just wondering if in the past few years anything has changed with possibility of being able to use something like ug_convert_part within team center. Or are we still limited to either exporting/importing from team center to run the command prompt, or adding the entire 'mixed units' assembly to a higher assembly level of the desired units to be able to make them the work part?
