Can anyone recommend a program that will convert *.pdf photos to *.png photos? Thanks

You can use Photoshop. Just open the .pdf file in Photoshop and do a 'Save As'. From the 'Save As' dialog, change the 'Format' to PNG, and hit 'Save'. I know it works because I just tested it. Note that I have the full professional version of Adobe Photoshop so I can't speak for the lower cost versions or even the free 'Photoshop Express'. I've never used anything but the full-blown (and expensive) professional version.

I use Icecream Screen Recorder

All Icecream apps are top rate.

They have free versions that don't have ads in them or anything annoying they just are limited in certain aspects. The Screen Recorder version for instance can record video flawlessly off your screen but only for 10 minutes with the free version. I originally got the paid version so I could record entire NFL football games without a VCR. The quality is outstanding. Of course screen recorder also grabs screen shots, full screen or any tidbit of the screen you want. Probably 1/2 of the pictures I put up on ET I've grabbed with it. Crazy simple and instant.

I note they also have a PDF converter App that they state can convert PDFs to jpgs and pngs etc., though I haven't used it and would probably use the more flexible Screen Recorder anyway if I had to grab a picture out of a PDF.

Try either or both free versions and see what works best for you.

Thanks... will try it out. I sent icecream a query about if they can do a directory of *.pdf to *.png... will let you know... program is currently on sale. Photoshop is too pricey for my taste...

Acrobat does the conversion directly. If you don't care about resolution, per se, you can just do a PrtScn with the window maximized and paste that screen grab into whatever you want

I picked up software called WondersharePDFelement that seems to do the job... problem with pdf reader is that I cannot do a batch of files... first directory converted had 217 *.pdf photos... The software I picked up also does OCR stuff, too.

Thanks... problem solved...
