Converting Face into a Surface

Is there a tool which can convert a face of a solid body into a surface? Or another way that this can be easily done? Because I've tried using surface fill with a mesh of constraining sketches and it still isn't good enough.

Go to the surfacing toolbar. Select the face, offset surface at zero.
