Converting Pro/E Files to SW - Any Tips?

Using SW2003 SP1.0 (also tried SP3.0 ) and Pro/E 2000i2 with latest patch.

We have recently discovered that some of our conversions via .step are not coming into SW accurately. A good number of them convert badly as well, leaving us with twanged parts.

I was wondering if anyone has stumbled across a combination of settings that our Pro/E users should be using, and our SW user's should be using to get an accurate conversion?

Any information is helpful. Thanks a bunch!

As I recall, Pro/E export works better if the parts are set to use absolute accuracy and not relative accuracy. This is especially true if you have large parts with some tiny features.

Anything you can do to ratchet up the accuracy of your trim curves going out should help. I believe there are options you can insert into your config.pro for this. You end up with larger files, but is file size more important than accuracy of information?

You may wish to also pose this query on the Pro/E forum.
