Hello i am making a belt feeder for a quarry. material is hitting the belt in a chute from 6 m high. how do i determine idler spacing or load on the idler frame?

TPH is 750 and belt speed is 8 m/s. can get 'tph' load but not teh impac load. do i just factor it up by somethign?

Thank you.

Are you reducing the impact energy with a sloped surface to reduce impact force and damage to conveyor belt or feel that it is not needed?

Good point, I notice that that design guide uses a maximum drop height of 10ft, so 6m is getting a tad ambitious. Square law and all.
