Can anyone advise typical specs for radiators and coolers in offshore environments. We typically have three types of coolers on our equipment - engine radiators, Alum bar & plate heat exchangers, finned tube heat exchangers. These are on mobile equipment, so they will often come back to shore where they can be washed down. We don't want to overspec the equipment or make it too expensive, but we want some improvement over onshore equipment. Our thoughts...
radiators - brass fins brazed to brass tubes, painted or galvanized framework.
bar & plate - Alum painted. Galv or painted structure
finned tube - extruded fins (or are L-fin ok?), coated ends of tubes, galv or zinc metallized headers, galv or painted structure.
Any thoughts on those specs?
Thanks for you help.
