24-0" x 60'-0" high ss tank with bottom conical is to be provided cooling jacket on outside of shell and bottom cone. Inside pressure in the jacket would be 56psi @ -4C.Inside pressure in tank is very low and will be designed per API 650.From your experience, could you please review and recommend type of jacket that would be more efficient and economical to fabricate and install.

Thanks in advance for help.

pve,

I agree with the comments made by "codeeng"... The aspect ratio (24:60)of your tank is not suitable for exterior cooling systems. There would be a tendency to develop thermal stratification in the liquid.

Instead, consider an external pumped system with an external heat exchanger and, possibly, additional liquid return nozzles on your tank. There are maintenance and layout advatages with such a system. The heat exchanger, valves etc can be isolated and maintained much easier and can be located remotely.

Addtionally, you can achieve cooldown quicker with a pumped, circulating system.

Tell us more about your process, liquid and th cooldown time.

My opinion only.......
