Trying to do a process to copper that makes it go green. Were using a blue solution that does this but it can be wiped off easily, some one else does this but wont say what he uses, and it stays on and its goes hard. We think he mixes it with something else to have this affect. Would be great to get to find the solution used.

One of the simplest processes to get copper to turn green is to spray it with a dilute solution of Hydrochloric acid ( muriatic) ( HCI), the copper will at first clean bright then in about 45 minutes will turn light yellow then green.
Be careful with this stuff.
The blue material is usually copper sulphate sometimes with Sal ammoniac added, and will wipe off when fresh applied, It needs to be left in place for a day, then misted with a light water spray to fix it.

You are judged not by what you know, but by what you can do.
