Does anyone know what percentage of copper denotes a "Copper Bearing Steel". Is there a standard? what effect does the copper have on corrosion properties or strength?

thanks

One of the "classic" copper bearing steels is CORTEN which had 0.25 - about 0.50% added copper depending on the grade. Used for structural applications these steels have about 3X the atmospheric corrosion resistance as mild steels.
