Hi,

I wanted to copy and paste a sketch, but following error appeared when I specified all the datums: Cannot copy feature since multiple external references resolved into one ...what can I do?
Thanks

Obviously there are numerous sketch constraints to objects outside the sketch, typically dimensions or constraints to edges, datums or other sketch curves. You may want to edit the original sketch and Use a Fixed constraint for one point on the sketch and then use Positioning Dimensions to locate the entire sketch. This will make the “Pasting” process much easier. I have not seen this particular error but have had some trouble when attempting to resolve external constraints in the past.

Have a thought for how you work so that you have the ability to identify what depends on what in the data. You may find that if you want to cut and paste a sketch then you need to select some of the datums or other dependencies so it is best to be able to isolate them in order to more easily select them for copying.

Best regards

Hudson
