Hi,

I am trying to copy a big assembly and am having problems with dependencies.

Using 2001 and Pro/I 3.3

When I try and copy the large assembly (save a copy in Pro/E) it is forcing me to rename a sub assembly under it, I don't want to rename this sub-assy.

I just got round this by deleting the sub-assy from workspace (So it doesn't prompt to rename it) renaming the main assy. then re-check out the assembly it was previously asking to rename. The renamed big assembly opens fine!

This can't be the best way to do this, does anybody know the best/correct way?

Cheers!

Can you explain further the reason you want to "copy" the assembly. Maybe you want to try "backup" instead? Hope I can help.
