I have a word document in a Japanese language that need to go on a print. When I copy and paste them into the Text tool in Catia it won't read out the Japanese letters. It just show lines in their place. Is there a way to copy and paste the notes to read the Japanese writing in Catia? Or translate the English notes to Japanese somehow?

The fastest tool I've found for translating text is Google Translate. You can use it to go from any language to any other language and vice versa.

To use the same Japanese font from MS Word in a CATIA drawing you just need to change the font. Look at the name of the font in Word and then find it in the list below in CATIA. If you can't find it in this list then you need to make sure it's installed in your C:\Windows\Fonts folder. If it's not then you need to install it there and restart CATIA for it to show up in the list.

Lastly, if it's a special type of font, like a stroke font (or customer specific), then you may need to install it in a path similar to this one, C:\<install path>\R22\CATFont\Stroke(or PostScript) and then restart CATIA.
