Hello all,
Does anyone have suggestions on how to separate core and cavity pieces while still keeping the history information of the part? For example, if you have a cavity block and you cut the plastic part model from the cavity block, you are left with one solid part with two separate volumes. You can explode the solid and separate the two volumes, but, you lose the history info. We are using Acad MDT6 without any add-on packages.

Thanks

Dear friend here is a step by step proc for your question:
1)assemble the parts A and B
2)cut the part B from Part A(using AMCOMBINE command).
3)for Editing-Double click on combine icon.
4)part B icon and object will appear.
5)copy the part B to some place.
6)update the part.
