Corky Bell - Supercharged, Error

Reading the Corky Bell Supercharged book, Chapter 4 - The Balance of Heat. By my reckoning the conversion he makes from absolute (K) to Fahrenheit (F) is outright wrong?

K isn't the only absolute temperature unit. R would be a more straightforward conversion to F.
