Hi there!
When an order for gear manufacturing is accepted, certain steps must be taken to turn the drawing into parts. These steps may include creating of manufacturing drawings, designing and building the fixtures and tooling, writing the CNC programs. This work is made only once for this first trial batch. I have difficulties to find a correct term for all these operations and decided to ask here, as I know that there are people here with native English and manufacturing background. Is it called "project/job/part production implementation", "manufacturing engineering", "manufacturing preparatory work", or something completely different?
Thank you in advance for your help, will be much appreciated!
