Corrosion standards

Dear,

Is there any standards about corrosion which can consider material selection ( chemical factors ).
For example which is the right standards to know it is recommended to use galvanised steel than the carbon steel ?

Most corporations have developed guidelines based on previous practice.

Lacking that, you should look at a corrosion chart.
