Dear All

In continuation to the following thread,

Is it required to do any corrosion test for Welding Alloy 825 pipes for 95% concentrated Sulphuric acid Piping service during PQR from your experience?
For a Fossil Fuel Power Plant Piping .

Usually, acid service has corrosion test requirements as part of the weld qualification.
I would expect to see a test like G28A used for this testing.
I have also seen electrochemical cyclic polarization done in sulfuric acid.

I have not seen corrosion testing WPS Qualification in that service for that material in user specifications. That doesn't meen it cannot or should not be done. It may have been done by Users themselves to permit the material to be used in the service environment.
