I could have sworn this was possible, but I haven't been able to find the answer to the following question in the SW help file:

Is it possible to show the cosmetic threads of a tapped hole (using the hole wizard) in a solid models or in a drawing section view as actual thread (ie a true goemetric representation of the thread as opposed to the usual dashed line or circle that denotes the extent of the thread cut)? Thanks.

No you can't view the texture that is given to a tapped hole in a drawing. It's been like that since I can remember. You can manually add a texture or OLE image to your drawing but it's always on top of everything in the drawing view.

If you made a true thread in a part (Sweep feature using a profile and a helix. No Hole Wizard.) then you could see the threads in the drawing.

You can only get the Cosmetic thread that is a dashed line in the drawing.

The thread texture should show on the drawing or model IF you have the view set to shaded AND The Annotations display is set to show "Shaded cosmetic threads" (right-click Annotations in the Feature Manager and select Details...)

I just found this today, I think in SP4 they added the new checkbox in annotations - but left it unchecked.
