I'm running a model that contains both SS and mahogany wood. I can run cosmos on the SS support and it runs fine. But after finishing the study on the wood I get an error message when I try to run the study that says "please define Elastic modulus in material properties". I've looked at all the help sections and can't find any good info on this. So...How do I define the elastic modulus?

When selecting your material there is a table of material properties available. Wood is orthotropic so you will have to define the elastic modulus in three planes. Properties for wood are not included by default in the cosmos material library.
I have not worked with any wood material before so I'm not sure of a good reference for these properties

It scares me that someone is using an FEA package and doesn't know what Elastic Modulus is. This is a case of the simplicity of the package being to detriment of high end users.

Shaggy, he didn't ask what the elastic modulus was. He was asking how to define it in Cosmos.

OP, you will have to go back into the SW tab and edit the material definition. I'm not sure that you can edit them while in Cosmos
