Cost Effective Replacement for Fiber Glass Tape

Hello Everyone,

We currently use Glass Fiber Tape over the Armouring (in Cables) for Flammability Test Requirement as Per IEC: 60332. I was just wondering if there are other such tapes which maybe flame retardant, combustion free. I just want to compare their properties.

Glass fiber is the most inexpensive. That's why it's the most widely used. Aramid would be a good option but is much more expensive.
