I'm trying to evaluate the cost of helical piles for foundations in the tri-state area. The name of the job is private, but I have created simplified subsurface profiles. I want to know the approximate cost per pile at each site and the minimum clearance from the sheet pile wall. The plates drawn are for artistic purposes only, and are neither representative of the plate size nor the anticipated depth to the bottom of the piles. We want to withstand 10 kips in tension and 20 kips in compression, allowable loading.

I would really appreciate if someone can help me out. We also asked a distributor but he might not provide the answer in time. We need to answer our client ASAP.

Midwest USA a piling is installed in-place for between $1,200 and $2,000 each depending on the conditions.

I see the word "boulders". Helical piles don't do well in soils with boulders.

How much more would it cost to drill through the boulders and start the helical piles in the clay?

These are cost estimates of unique items. Your best bet would be to call on some local contractors.

In NY / NJ piles can range in cost depending on size and depth to good soil from $350-$1500+ depending on project or quantity. To get your 20k service load you would want to see N-Values in the high 20s to low 30s but that can vary with clay.
Rocks and or boulders can sometimes be issues but its rare. I can only think of (1) project in the last couple years that we were stopped by rocks(cobbles). Once in a while a boulder may mean shifting the location of a pile but depending on the application its usually not a big deal.
